Clawed Cameo in Final X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer

The hype right now is all about Captain America: Civil War's release next week, but lest we forget, there's another Marvel Comics-inspired movie hitting screens shortly after, Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse. Coming on the heels of Deadpool's out-of-nowhere success earlier this year (with a sequel already in the works, naturally), Apocalypse can't help but suddenly feel like the big brother that suddenly got overshadowed.

Still, our final look at the Bryan Singer-directed pic (for what will be his fourth time helming an X-Men offering) looks to be giving a lot that fans (of the comics and the films) would be looking for, including fan fave characters like Archangel and Psylocke, costumes that are far closer to the comic versions than we've ever seen in any of these things, and the a continuation of the arc begun in 2011's X-Men: First Class.

That said, I do find it interesting how Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique has gone from key supporting player to Most Important X-Men Character Ever in direct parallel with her own rising box office clout. And oh yeah, we also get confirmation of a certain character making a cameo appearance on the way to his own final X-flick. It was pretty much an open secret until now, but this makes it official. Check out the vid below, and look for X-Men: Apocalypse in theaters on May 27.
