I've been keeping one ear to the ground with today's congressional inquiry into the big bad Muslim booga-booga, and one thing that became apparent fairly quickly is that much of it is political theater engineered by Peter King and his fellow travelers on the Islamophobia Superhighway to sow distrust among Americans toward Americans. One moment I did feel was worthy of mentioning and sharing, however, was this powerful bit of testimony from Congressman Keith Ellison, one of only two Muslims in congress, as he recounts the death of a Muslim first responder on 9/11 and pleads for us not to go further down the path of intolerance that these hearings are already indicative of.
